Call Centers of India celebrate Diwali, render services uninterrupted to Clients |
All the Call Centers of India, which serve as outsourced offshore vendors for international clients, continued working on the Diwali night and rendered their services unhindered. A majority of Indians were enjoying a holiday owing to the week- long festivities, but Call Center employees were diligently performing their duties throughout.
Most of the international call centers of India have a 24x7 work culture and they are functional on all 365 days of the year. If ever there is a holiday, then it is according to the client’s country – like for American clients 4th July – their independence day - is allotted as a holiday to the Call Center Agents. Diwali, being an Indian festival, is like any other regular working day for the clients. That is why complete services are expected by the Call Center Vendors, by the client. In such a scenario, the administration and HR departments of the Call Centers planned well and struck the right balance between celebrations and work. Various fun-events and competitions were organized to mark the occasion.
The employees participated in batches. So while one group was frolicking, another group ensured that the client’s requirements are also being met and services are continually delivered. Employees were also rewarded with a Diwali gifts and bonuses as well. The Call Center Agents enjoyed the festival as well as enjoyed their work on the Diwali day, and presented a fine example, once again, of their professional commitment. |
